I really should make more of an effort to hang out at the beach. It's funny, but people who don't live here always ask me how often I go to the beach. Do I go after work? On weekends? Holidays? I really don't go that often. It's usually when people are visiting from out of town. Case in point, last week I had a senior engineer visiting from Kansas City, so I decided to take him down to Laguna Beach for dinner. We had dinner out on the patio of this place that has an incredible view. It truly was cool to go from the office to a vacation atmosphere in the matter of 15 minutes.

I agree. You should spend more time at the beach. And build sand castles! Sand castles are fun!
