WTF Steve? Seriously. What is this iPad thing that you have disappointed us with?
What is with the iPod-Touch-meets-a-rolling-pin?
And the name... it's AWFUL! Worst one of the possible choices. "On your period? There's an app for that."
I was really thinking this device could be life-changing. Okay, maybe not life-changing, but at least something I would want to spend my hard-earned money on. I envisioned some sort of stylus to make it into a real 'tablet' for drawing/notetaking, an actual OS, a video camera for Skype, multitasking (one app at a time? really?), and VERIZON! As soon as AT&T was announced as the 3G partner, I was out.
One of the big features is supposed to be the e-reader. For one, it doesn't even have e-ink to reduce eye strain. I can lie in my bed and burn my eyes out staring at my LCD screen now and not have to wait 60 days for your new device. Also, usually things are designed to solve a problem, but with e-readers the only problem it solves is if you have to carry around a hundred books. I've never had the urge to carry around a hundred books, so why solve a problem that nobody has?
I just don't see a 10-inch iPad filling the "void" between my 13-inch MacBook and my Smartphone. Let's call it what it really is. A $30/month email checker.
