The MLB All Star Game is in St. Louis this year, which is a great way to boost the image of the city. The game is Tuesday, so people are already pouring into town for the All Star weekend festivities. Last night Sheryl Crow and Elvis Costello played a show under the Arch. We headed downtown this morning and started off at the new casino in Lumiere Place (right next to Laclede's Landing). Downtown would normally be dead on a Sunday morning, but today there was a 5K race that drew a lot of participants and supporters. Shawn Johnson, Olympic gold medalist in gymnastics and winner of Dancing with the Stars, was participating in the run to raise awareness for the cancer charity. Jenna Fischer from the Office is also here participating in the Home Run batting practice.

A crazy storm blew up suddenly, so we got the heck out of there! The clouds looked like they might spawn tornados! This was right before it started POURING!!
