The other side of the interesting experience will be living back at home. I've been living in California for just shy of seven years. That's kind of a long time. That's longer than being away for a Bachelor's degree. I could almost have a Master's and Doctorate as well. Needless to say, when you have been living on your own for a long time, you have your own routine and have surrounded yourself with your own style of furnishings. It's a bit of a shock to move back home! Here's the top 10 things to consider when moving back home.
1. Other people use up the hot water first if you're not quick enough. (-)
2. You have to sleep in your old bed that was designed for a pre-teen. (--)
3. Laundry is done when you get home from work. (+)
4. Dinner is on the table and you didn't have to prepare it! (++)
5. You don't get to pick what's for dinner. (-)
6. Always have to let others know what your plans are after work and when you will be home. (-)
7. You don't have to do the grocery shopping. (+)
8. You have to share the guacamole. (-)
9. You can't leave dishes in the sink and hope no one notices. (-)
and the biggest thing to consider is that:
10. You instantly feel more like a highschooler with a curfew than a high-dollar earning professional. :)
Really, it's not so bad.
For those who have been asking, this is my home for the next several weeks. I picked out this furniture in November of 1990 when I was 11 years old. We bought it at the House of Denmark, which sold up-scale Scandinavian furniture before IKEA was on the map.

You better not be sneaking out the window to go to any parties. :-P
Is it wrong to say that that's EXACTLY how I imagined your room to look?! ha ha! Go ahead, take the extra stuffed animals out of the closet!
